what if i don't have a bridal party or meet the minimum booking?
how many people can you service on the wedding day?
Of course! Destination weddings will require airfare, hotel, meal, transportation. If you would like to inquire about a destination or out of state wedding, please email me personally at RondaAkandeHair@gmail.com.
do you travel out of state/country for wedding bookings?
Travel up to 1 hour round trip from your artists is included in your package.
Over 1 hour from the artist's home base is $100 per hour.
Overnight accommodations may be needed for any destination that is over a 4 hr round trip from artists home base.
do you travel?
Once you have paid the $500 and have signed your contract, your wedding date is confirmed. The second and final payment is due 7 days before your wedding day and can be paid via Stripe, PayPal, Venmo, and Zelle. Please note that Stripe and Paypal have 3.5% processing fees.
What is the payment schedule once I book?
Changes can be made up to 60 days before your wedding and must be approved. Removing services is not allowed after signing and paying the non-refundable retainer. If getting ready location has changed I will requote the travel fee accordingly.
We do not offer flower girl hair services, so sorry about that! Junior-maids would count towards the total guests in your package.
can i make changes to my booking after signing my contract?
I plan on having flower girl and junior Bridesmaid in my party. How much are these services?
It's best to know your exact numbers before inquiring but I understand if you have some party members who are undecided. I would book for only the number confirmed and we could possibly add on if the schedule allows.
I dont know my exact head count, should I wait to book?
As soon as possible!! Weddings are booked at least 18 months in advance (or more), with Saturdays being the first to go! The sooner, the better!
how far in advance should i Book?
Unfortunately no. However, we understand your concerns which is why I’m inviting you to review my Instagram page where you will find more of my team's work and also bride testimonials. Trials are only for clients who have booked and placed a deposit.
Can I do a trial first before booking?
Once you submit your inquiry, you will receive a quote. You can accept the quote and sign your contract along with a $500 non-refundable deposit. We do not hold dates and book on a first come, first-served basis. Deposit is deducted from your final invoice.
How do I book your hair services?
If you are unsure, please email me at RondaAkandeHair@gmail.com along with photos of your bridal hairstyle inspiration AND photos of your natural hair color in good lighting. We typically have most shades of extensions to use during preview appointments but it's best to double check before the appointment so we don't have any surprises.
i am unsure if i need extensions. do i need them for my preview appointment?
After your appointment is booked, you will receive a full detailed email with instructions on how to prep your hair for the preview along with what to bring to your appointment and where to park.
How should i prep my hair for the preview?
Yes! Trials are subject to your artist's availability and is $400 for a full 2 hour appointment time.
Can my mother or bridesmaids have a preview appointment?
I reccommend coming alone to your appointment so we can really connect and customize your look based on our discussions. If you must bring someone, I allow one person because of the small space (no children).
can i bring my mom or friend to my preview appointment?
Trials will be held at Ronda Akande's home studio or at a studio space within the Metro-Detroit area. Trials can also be done closer to your artist's home base if bride is getting married in West Michigan or Northern Michigan.
Yes! Your two hour customized bridal preview/trial is included with all packages. If you wish to schedule a trial for a Mother of the Bride or have an additional trial, that will be an extra cost.
Where will the preview be held?
You will receive a booking link about 6 months prior to your wedding. Trials are not done more than 3 months prior to date because most of your wedding planning will be completed and it will be easier for you to pick a hairstyle.

Yes. The reason it’s compulsory for ALL brides and why I give the appointment so much time is that it’s important to talk about what you like and don’t like. Because, sometimes you think you might like something, but then when you try it on, you realize it doesn’t suit you. Having a trial appointment will help you better understand what works and what doesn’t. This gives you the confidence and peace-of-mind needed on the day of the wedding.
is a bridal preview requred?
The final invoice is due one week before the wedding day and it will need to be paid by the bride only. We suggest having everyone venmo you to complete their payment. If bridal party members would like to give gratuity on the day of the wedding, this can be done individually via cash or venmo.
Can my bridesmaids pay you individually?
We will need windows and natural light, ample lighting, outlets, a small table for each vendor, air conditioning.
What do i need to provide on the wedding morning for you?
1 hour - Bridal party members
1.5 hrs - Bride
2 hrs - Bride using extensions within her hairstyle
How much time will it take for each person on my wedding day?
The ideal location would be a large hotel suite (not a standard room) or Airbnb. Ample space is needed for your vendors to set up. Most wedding venues that have bridal suites do not allow access until mid morning which might not always consider with your day of schedule. PLEASE NOTE LOCER ROOMS are not an acceptable getting ready location unless approved during booking process.
What is the preferred getting ready location?
This is something that I will need to be notified about prior to finalizing the day of schedule since it will need extra time to apply. There is a $50 fee for application.
Can bridal party members use clip in extensions?
And they do not plan on wearing it in its natural curl, we recommend that you wash and dry your hair using a brush to smooth out your texture as much as you can. Or have it professionally blow dried the night before.
What if someone has curly hair?
Dirty hair is not better! I ask that everyone arrives with clean and fully blow dried hair. You will receive detailed hair prep instructions to pass along to the rest of the bridal party. If hair is not properly prepped, this will cause delays in the timeline and subject to additional fees.
how should the bridal party prep their hair?
This will be discussed at the trial.
How should i prep my hair for the wedding day?
Yes! Four weeks from the wedding date and after we received all the details about your final time you need to be ready, you will receive a finalized day of schedule. Timelines for hair services will not be allowd to be done by other vendors.
do you put together a schedule?
You will be responsible for replacing the lost or damaged hair extensions.
No! You are not to alter the color or length in any form. If you are to make any changes to the rented hair extensions, you will be responsible for replacing with a new set.
Your rental includes pre-addressed shipping label attached to a priority shipping box. The day following your wedding you will simply place the hair in the box, seal and pop it in the mail! You do not need to do anything to the hair like washing, drying, or combing!
After every rental, the hair extensions are thoroughly washed using a anti-fungal shampoo. The hair is then prepped with the proper products and dryed before arriving to your wedding day so you don't have to do any work!
What if I accidentally lose the extensions or I damage them?
Am i able to cut or color the rented extensions?

How do you clean the hair between clients?
No, unfortunately they cannot rent. This is a service we offer to my brides only.
Can bridesmaids rent extensions as well?
It depends on the legth and weight of the hair package, but typically a full set of extensions are a minimum of $375.
We can get you a 10% discount if you order through us!
How much are extensions if I would like to purchase them myself to keep?
If you are interested in renting from us, please make sure to send us a photo of your hair in good light so I can make sure to have the correct color for you. If we do not have the perfect color at your preview, I will make sure to color match you and have the correct ones for your wedding day!
WHat if you do not have extensions to match my hair?
We use BFB hair (BFBHAIR.COM). They're human hair is ethically sourced and is completely seamless and undetectable in the hair! It comes in a variety of colors and they even do color matching.
